Vera Manzoni

“creating things that I wish existed”

Vera Manzoni

Vera Manzoni, born in Lisbon in 1978.

From a very young age, she was fascinated by everything that adorns the body.
She grew up surrounded by beads and necklaces. Her grandfather, Henrique Batalha, was one of the partners in the store. Battle House.

Coming from a family of stonemasons, his fascination lay in something more precious: jewelry. In 1995 he began a course in Goldsmithing and Metals at the António Arroio Secondary School, attending for two years... AR.CO in the jewelry making course. She graduated in jewelry design from School of Arts and Design in Porto.

MORE She represents costume jewelry, a skill she developed from birth, which sparked her interest in fine jewelry. Her work is therefore divided between these two areas. In fine jewelry, she creates custom pieces, always having a collection on display in her studio.

“When you don't dress like everyone else then you don't have to think like everyone else.”

~ Iris Apfel

Minimalism and discretion are not strong points around here, as the jeweler on duty rarely resists the temptations of color and ostentation.

The pieces aren't always classic necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets either.

From here come hair accessories, complements for a party dress, and there have even been times when Vera's creative genius has given rise to hats and bags.

The increase in orders and the growth of the Vera Manzoni Jewelry & More atelier have not kept the creative artist away from her workbench. Soldering, filing, and inlaying are tasks that this Lisbon-based artisan continues to do.
